TW: Death Threats
I experienced severe physical and sexual abuse from my partner who was involved in organized crime and threatened to kill me and hurt my family on many occasions. I faced harassment from this man on a daily basis. He would attack my phone, track my every movement and refused to accept that their relationship was over even when I did find the strength to break free.
After my son was placed into care after another domestically abusive relationship, I felt unable to break the cycle of abuse. I was terrified to move from my home in case the perpetrator moved on to attack my family. It took one devastating incident and arrest for me to finally get refuge. It was either this or I would have been dead, and this is the very real reality of abuse!
